Fastaval 09 Guest of Honour Emily Care Boss, contextually of The Forge, geographically of the Western Massachusetts woodlands, has hung up her forestry tools for a few weeks, packed her bags and is traveling to Denmark. We caught up with her last minute for a mini email interview…

What are you expecting from Fastaval 2009?
– Some great new gaming experiences, meeting new friends and learning more about role playing in the Nordic countries.

What is the greatest difference between the US and Nordic role-playing cultures?
– More women! :) And more (in-game) sex.

What are a some games or gaming-related experiences that have rocked your world recently? What is exciting and worth checking out?
– Everything jeep! Also, one of the best games I've played recently was carry. a game about war. It's a great short game that puts a face on the problems of war.

Emily is arriving at the convention on Wednesday evening. She will be hosting the Fastaval sessions of her most recent game Under My Skin on Friday, and give a talk on how Nordic role-playing is influencing the US Indie game design community during Day Five. She is not at all terrifying and you should totally speak to her in the bar, etc.
