Scenario writing contest
How hard can it be? Well, we are making it a little bit harder - write a scenario during Fastaval with set creative boundaries and run it for a group of players Sunday. The best scenario is awarded a mini-Otto. It's a dare!
The task is to write a scenario that meet a list of creative and practical requirements:
- You sign up at the information help desk, where you will be handed a set of rules
- Every morning at 09:30 it will be possible to meet up with the other competitors and exchange ideas, brag, destroy the morale of the other hopefulls etc.
- The scenario is handed in at 12am Sunday, AT THE LATEST.
- The Scenarios are run Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
- Every author must GM his own scenario.
- The winner is announced Sunday at 7pm and receives a mini-Otto
- Input from your gaming group weighs 50%, as do our panel of judges.
Practical limitations
- The scenario must be playable by one or more players and must use max 4 hours.
- You must hand in the scenario in either 2 physical copies or in a .pdf file format.
Creative limitations could be... anything! For example...
- That your scenario must contain certain words from one of three different groups.
- Must be based on known/handed out fiction, for example song lyrics or a play.
- Or various limitations based on form, mechanics (must use dice!) or techniques.
